Pilgrimage festival on Ganga Sagar
On a normally uninhabited island at the mouth of the Ganges, every year more than a million Hindu pilgrims congregate to bathe in the holy water on one auspicious morning. Additionally, more or less holy Sadhus, merchants, beggars and preachers of various sects join the crowd. Fortunately, adventurous backpackers haven't yet discovered this place.
