Families in the Balkans

Whilst travelling for Families in the Balkans I met a couple in Sarajevo traumatized by the war, single fathers in the Carpathian Mountains and orphaned children in the Romanian Moldavian Plateau. Particularly in Romania there are entire villages in which the children are raised  by grandparents, because virtually all the younger adults are working abroad.
